The view from Glacier Point is breathtaking. The four mile hike up from Yosemite Valley floor is equally so. I summited Half Dome the day before and felt the eight mile round trip was a 'cool down'.

Zion National Park is a funny place. You can see amazingly beautiful rock formations like the Court of the Patriarchs (lots of biblical references here) but behind me is a bus stop crowded with tourists.

The lifeguards in Montauk are intense and very good at their jobs. I'm always so impressed with how fit they are, but then again five minutes in the waves is a real cardio workout.
